BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Prakash Kinthada is presently working as a professor in the Department Of Chemistry at Sri VidyaNikethan Engineering College, Jawaharlal Technological University, Tirupathi, India. He received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry / Inorganic Chemistry (1987) and has 8 years’ post-doctoral research experience in different fields includes Organometallic Chemistry / Bioinorganic Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Cancer Research, Biotechnology, and Medical Biotechnology. He also worked as an NIH visiting fellow at Wayne State University and the University of Texas, USA and University of Oxford and Aston University, UK. He has 28 years of teaching/research experience. He has published over 33 articles in International journals. He has also participated in various international conferences including American Chemical Society conferences and gave more than 31 presentations.
Prof. Prakash Kinthada received numerous awards such as FRSC (Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry), Top Hundred Professionals of The Year-2011 by International Biographical center, Uk, and Bharath Jyothi Award and Rashtriya Gaurav Award by India International Friendship Society, India. His name was included in The Dictionary of international Biography published by International Biographical Center, Cambridge, England, Uk. He is an organizing committee member of various international and national conferences. He also serves as an editorial board/advisory board member and reviewer of international and national journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Prakash Kinthada’s research interest includes:
- Transition Metal Complexes as Anticancer and Anti HIV drugs.
- DNA binding studies of some transition Metal complexes.
- Synthesis of Anticancer, Anti-HIV Drugs and Structural and Cancer Biology.
- Medicinal chemistry.
- Pharmaceutical chemistry.
- Cancer Research.
