Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Hafez Mohamed El-Far discovered tumor localization and photosensitization of single porphyrin as uroporphyrin, Prepared novel derivatives for cancer Laser treatment. He is the First to report use of ALA for detection and treatment of bladder tumor. Provided novel anticancer agents and show role of antioxidants and oxidative stress in cancer.
He used interleukin-10&6 in prognostic evaluation of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma patients.
He is the one to use intravaginal sildenafil citrate as a novel antiabortive agent in URS miscarriage.
He prepared novel modified steroid & chitosan derivatives, as anti-cancer agents.
Transplantation of stem cells to treat diabetes.
He provided a rapid, low-cost quantitative diagnostic method for HCV infection using capillary zone electrophoresis.
He gave Molecular characterization of both bladder and renal tumors from urine samples by RAPD –PCR fingerprint.
