BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Chun-Pin Lin is working as Vice President & Distinguished Professor at China Medical University, Taiwan and Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Oral Biology Program from School of Dentistry at University of Minnesota. He is also serving as chief endodontist, professor, and dean of the Dental School of National Taiwan University, and chief opinion leader in the international arena. He is now the President of Chinese Taipei Association for Dental Sciences as well as the President-Elect of IADR-SEA (International Association for Dental Research-Southeast Asia).
Dr. Chun-Pin Lin has held many leadership positions in both the research and clinical realms of dental and medical fields. He awarded with “Outstanding Research Award” from Ministry Science and Tecnology in 2016 along with “Distinguished Chinese Alumni Award” in 2014. He is also serving as the editorial board member of many international journals. He published more than 100 research papers.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Chun-Pin Lin is interested in Endodontics : Diagnosis and treatment of dentin hypersensitivity and tooth fracture; Pain control in endodontics; Study on electronic root canal meter and its clinical application; Root canal rotary instrumentation; Endodontic microsurgery and digital radiography.
Hard Tissue and Biomineralization Research: Ultrastructure of enamel, dentin and bone. Hydroxyapatite (HAp) solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
Oral Biomaterials and Nanotechnology: Bioglas, mesoporous SiO2, Ca-Si ceramics; Bioactive nanomaterilas for dentin erosion, hypersensitivity and pulp regeneration; Biomechanisms of tooth, periodontal ligament and bone; Bonding and fracture mechanics, Finite element simulation; Micromechanical analysis of restored crown and posted root.
