BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Christos Georgiou is Professor of Biochemistry, Department of Biology Division of Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology, University of Patras at University Campus, Greece. He completed her Ph.D and Postdoctoral studies, Biochemistry Department, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. He has longstanding research links with the NASA Ames Research Center (Space Science and Astrobiology Division) in California, USA.
He publish more than 100 papers, He is work experience as Professor of Biochemistry in the Biology Department of the University of Patras Greece since and also Associate Professor of Biochemistry in the Biology Department at the same university. He has membership at Fellow of the American Heart Association and member of the American Chemical Society and Ethics Committee of the University of Patras. He is Deputy Chairman of the Biology Department of the University of Patras at Greece. ARC-Associate, NASA Ames Research Center, Space Science and Astrobiology Division, SST, Moffett Field, CA, USA, Associate, Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute, Mountain View, California, USA.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Christos Georgiou’s is interested in the fields of Biochemistry of Oxidative Stress as it relates to physiological and abnormal conditions of biological and medical interest, lab develops analytical biochemical methods for the in vivo/vitro quantification of various parameters of oxidative stress.
