BIOGRAPHY:
Dr.Ken K. Chin is presently working as Director of CNBM New Energy Materials Research Center, and professor in the department of physics at University Heights Newark, US. He received M.S. in Physics from University of Georgia in 1982, Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University in 1986. Before joining NJIT he was Research Assistant Professor at University of Notre Dame. He was the founding Director of the NJIT-Rutgers (Newark) Joint Applied Physics M.S./Ph.D. Program, and the NJIT Materials Science and Engineering M.S,/Ph.D. Program. He has 4 patents and more than 150 publications, including books, book chapters, journal articles and conference presentations. He had authored many books, book chapters and articles.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Ken K. Chin’s research interest includes CdTe thin film growth and characterization, CdTe solar cell and panel, thin film semiconductor device physics, optical fiber sensor technology, power supply security, nanotechnology, MEMS, IR image sensor, MBE, and history of physics.
