BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Raouf M. Afifi is a public health, epidemiology and preventive medicine consultant, community health research scholar, healthcare executive, biostatistician and pediatric consultant. Currently, Dr. Afif is “Director, Community Health Services, and Consultant, Community Health Research Institute, International Management-Health Services (ITM), Indianapolis Indiana, USA; “Consultant, Healthcare Research Institute-SA Consultancy”, Cairo, Egypt; former “Scientific Supervisor of Saudi Board of Community Medicine Program”, Taif, KSA; “Head- Preventive Medicine Departments”, Armed Forces Hospitals, Taif, KSA; Adjunct Associate Professor, College of Medicine, Taif University, KSA.
Dr. Afifi is principal investigator & project manager in the field of chronic diseases with scholarly, including trauma, diabetes, hypertension, behavioral health problems, as well as a wide scope of public and community health problems, and applied healthcare policy reform researches. Dr. Afifi is editor and reviewer with a multitude of medical and medical journals. Dr. Afifi’s philosophy in performance embarks on paying attention to details, striving excellence, creativity, meanwhile assure safety and obviate errors.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Afifi participates in a myriad of academic, scientific, educational and professional development activities in the fields of healthcare and business development, including community health research, health administration and healthcare management planning and policy implementation, design community health programs, set coursework plans, curricula, scientific conference paneling, as well as designing and delivering a wide scope of continuing professional development programs, including healthcare business management training, strategic planning, cost-outcome analyses (CEA, CBA), research methodology and foundations of statistics, scientific thesis & dissertation supervising; healthcare ethics, change management and organization’s behavior issues, all with emphasis on system improvement, patient safety, quality, and staff development.
